In the field of multi-space vehicles, Ford has taken a significant step by introducing in its already rich catalogue a novelty that stands out for innovation and sustainability: the Ford Tourneo Connect now also available in the plug-in hybrid version (PHEV). This model represents the first foray of the brand in this specific category in the reference segment, promising to revolutionize the driving experience with greater flexibility and versatility.
The Tourneo Connect PHEV fits seamlessly into Ford’s European range, which already includes electric and hybrid models such as the E-Tourneo Courier and E-Tourneo Custom, expanding the options for customers looking for a vehicle that combines space and respect for the environment. The new model, in particular, offers up to 110 kilometres of pure electric range, a remarkable figure that allows almost entirely zero-emission daily journeys.
At the heart of the Tourneo Connect PHEV is a 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, paired with a high-voltage electric motor that together delivers 150PS and 350Nm of torque. The battery, which can be charged via either DC fast-charging stations at up to 50kW or AC domestic systems at up to 11kW, provides not only high performance but also optimal energy management thanks to a range of driving modes.
In terms of design and functionality, the Ford Tourneo Connect PHEV does not disappoint. Offered in both five- and seven-seater versions, the vehicle promises a spacious and modular interior, with a cargo capacity that varies depending on the model chosen. The focus on comfort and technology is highlighted by the presence of two 10-inch screens for the virtual dashboard and infotainment, as well as a wide range of driver assistance systems that have contributed to achieving five stars in the Euro NCAP tests.
Future buyers will be able to choose from three different trim levels (Trend, Titanium and Active), each with specific features and accessories to suit different needs and lifestyles. The ability to manage and monitor the vehicle remotely via the FordPass app adds an extra layer of convenience, allowing you to check remaining range, battery charge levels and much more.
With the new Ford Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid available to order from next summer, and deliveries scheduled for the final quarter of the year, Ford confirms its attention to market trends and consumer needs, offering cutting-edge solutions for an increasingly sustainable future.
