The testimonies of some exhibitors in the spare parts, components and car service sector underline the importance of meeting at the Fair
The engines of the organizational machine of Autopromotec 2022, the first major in-person event for the automotive aftermarket, are already warming up. With just under three months to go until the opening of the Fair, the organizers outline the picture of a sector that is once again in great shape, giving the floor to the protagonists of all sectors.
At Autopromotec 2022, one of the product categories that presents itself strongest ever is that of spare parts, components and car service, the most recent to have made its entrance into the Event. In fact, while Autopromotec has a history of over fifty years for equipment and tires, components and spare parts have been present for "only" about 15 years. In terms of attendance and therefore exhibition space, the organizers have recorded a strong surge compared to the last edition, so much so that they have expanded the dedicated spaces: there are now 4 pavilions (Pav. 14, 16, 18 and 21), compared to the 3 of the previous edition.

A sign of how spare parts, components and car services are of fundamental importance for the sector comes directly from its protagonists, some of the numerous exhibitors of Autopromotec 2022, who provide their testimony on the importance of being present at this edition of the Fair. A first reflection that highlights this is that of Roberto Caravati, Aftermarket Global Business Unit Chief Operating Officer of BREMBO : “Autopromotec represents an important event for the Italian Aftermarket supply chain and, consequently, a fundamental event for Brembo. This event, in which we have been participating for some time, has grown over the years to become an international point of reference for the entire components sector, with the participation of qualified operators, and where it is possible to seize new business opportunities. Brembo could not miss the year of the return of the Fair, an opportunity to meet our Customers/Partners in person again, after the forced absence of these last few years in which we have nevertheless managed to gather important satisfactions on the market together with them”.

Confirmation of the increasingly international perception of Autopromotec also comes from the statement by Federico Montessori, Managing Director Italy and Senior Business Director Transportation EMEA of Exide Technologies : “Participation in Autopromotec 2019 was a great success for Exide: we decided to be there after having monitored the event with interest, edition after edition, struck by its growth, by its strong focus on market dynamics and on the most topical and important issues for the entire Aftermarket supply chain. The international development of Autopromotec and the presence of important players from abroad was the reason that finally convinced us. It is therefore natural for us to return this year and take advantage of the unique opportunity that Autopromotec offers: to meet the main players in the aftermarket, in person and all together after these two years marked by the precariousness of the market and the temporary nature of the measures for managing the pandemic, and to take stock with them of the news in our sector, eager to start again”.

For Gianni Rucco, Sales Manager IAM Italia of TECNECOFILTRATION, the relevance of Autopromotec and the enthusiasm of the supply chain towards the moment of meeting-comparison that it offers are important: "We couldn't wait to return to Bologna and finally we are here. In addition to the importance it has always had for us as a trade fair for the Italian market, this year Autopromotec has a greater value, it's a bit like returning to "almost" normality after two difficult years, for the reasons that we all know well.
